How we became Profiling Solutions
Ron Fisher was hired by Ross Systems, a provider of ERP software to the process manufacturing industry, and to acquire and potentially integrate a sales automation system with Ross' ERP solution.
After extensive evaluation and end-user input, Ron chose Saleslogix (currently re-branded as InforCRM) because end users easily understood and adopted the solution. Moreover, the Saleslogix had at the time one of the most extensible and customizable toolkits supporting all manners of solutions. Unfortunately, Ross Systems did not have ability to purchase the system. Nonetheless, both a Saleslogix reseller and Saleslogix recognized Ron's domain knowledge and understanding of CRM and marketing. Each suggested a business opportunity existed to become part of the Saleslogix ecosystem.
At about the same time, a number of colleagues and their customers from previous jobs including GE Capital requested Ron provide consulting services. Sensing an opportunity to go into business, Ron founded Profiling Solutions as a consulting firm that also provided Business Intelligence Analysis and Saleslogix Consulting. This quickly expanded into providing end to end support of Saleslogix and an expanded portfolio of Marketing Automation, Customer Service Automation, Business Process Automation and Executive Information Systems.
